Animal Ambulance

Nature: Our first frontier. These are my call-outs with the Animal Ambulance.

My mission: to respond to humans with distress calls; to explore natural habitats; to seek out new and old life-forms in distress and go out with my bald head and team mates and rescue them.

These posts are my personal experiences, perceptions and feelings rescuing animals.

Each time I come home from a rescue shift I write down the animals that I helped rescue (reminder: rescuing is a team effort! 😉 ) . It’s not a reminder for me of what I did, but more of a motivator; these creatures, whatever and whoever they are, are the reason I’m doing this!

As I write the lists I relive the moments and I find myself writing more than listing. These posts are the result!

Please note:

The names of my colleagues, dates and places are omitted or adjusted to preserve confidentiality.

Photos are also limited (or masked) for the same reason (and also for reasons of practicality; I seldom have my hands free to take photos!) All of the animals in my photos are alive. Some may be injured, but I’ve done my best not to show injuries (if any), let alone any blood etc.. If you spot something in a photo that disturbs you, please drop me a line and I’ll remove or change the photo as soon as I can.

Important: These entries are my experiences and my own personal thoughts, so they do not represent the official standpoint of Dierenambulance Nederrijn)..of which I’m still learning! 😉 )

My adventures are here!
