A hedgehog in a tangle, a thirsty baby magpie and lots of baby birds falling out of nests. No wonder the finders wanted us to call ahead with an ETA!

He was a magnificent beast! Even with his wounded left wing, the bird was determined to get out of the cage, squeezing his head through the cage grills as far as the top of his wings.
